ABOUT MAKING-A-DIFFERENCE NPC
The name ‘Making a Difference’ reflects what so many organisations and individuals are doing for our beautiful country and its people. We exist to support South African organisations and initiatives that serve vulnerable people and other good causes empowering them to deliver high-quality care, education, and services to their beneficiaries. We deeply appreciate your generous offer to donate unused nappies. At this stage, our logistics are geared towards direct partnerships with nappy manufacturers and suppliers for streamlined delivery. ELEVATE AND COLLABORATE PLATFORMS
The Elevate platform is a core initiative of Making-A-Difference NPC, designed to showcase and directly support South African organisations and projects that serve the needs of vulnerable individuals and other good causes. Its purpose is to increase the visibility and support for these vital projects, ‘elevating’ their reach and enabling them to secure resources to maximise their positive impact on communities. The Collaborate platform is a free listing service designed to connect South African good causes with potential supporters. It allows these organisations to share what they do and what they need, increasing their visibility. Think of it as a directory or community board. The Elevate platform, on the other hand, is where Making-A-Difference NPC showcases specific projects and initiatives that we are actively supporting. It’s a place for direct donations and sponsorships, focusing on ‘elevating’ the impact of these projects. So, Collaborate is about listing and connecting, while Elevate is about direct funding and project amplification.
You’re right, in an ideal world, we would love to directly support every deserving organisation and feature them on the Elevate platform. However, we must prioritise projects that align closely with our current initiatives and funding capabilities. This is why we created the Collaborate platform, which allows us to extend our reach and support to a wider range of good causes, providing them with a space to connect with potential donors, volunteers, and partners. It’s a vital tool for visibility and networking. Both platforms are valuable, but they serve different purposes. GIVING AND PARTNERSHIPS
Yes, we welcome support from individuals and organisations around the world. International donations can be made securely through PayPal, which accepts various international currencies. We also provide our SWIFT code for direct international bank transfers. Read more.
Making-A-Difference NPC has a target allocation of 85% or more of all donated funds going directly to our Elevate programmes. 15% or less of funds are allocated to core and operational costs. Read more.

A ‘good cause’ refers to an organisation or initiative that sustainably addresses a real, pressing need among vulnerable groups in South Africa, such as children, the elderly, or people with disabilities.
